Helping your business make your web, media, and events user-friendly and accessible
I gave a presentation, “Why Accessibility is Universal Design: Perspective from a Deaf Professional”, on July 26th – the day that also happened to be the 26th anniversary of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). I was speaking at an event hosted by NYC UXPA at the Motivate Design office. As usual, I signed in American Sign Language and was voiced by a sign language interpreter and live captions were projected on a separate screen for the audience as part of universal access.

In the past first months of 2016 I gave presentations at major conferences – World IA (Information Architecture) Day 2016, HighEdWeb New England 2016, The Accessible World Conference 2016 – on various topics related to user experience and accessibility. It was not my first year with public speaking – I have been presenting nationwide for 8 years.
