20 years ago today I was on the 18th floor balcony of a midtown office I worked at. From there I witnessed the world’s famous twin buildings being on fire then crumbling. I was a young professional in my early 20s.

That’s the question I was asked by teachers when I was in elementary school. My class was tasked to paint a wall mural in the hall of a school for the deaf. Some teachers walked by as we painted. They were bothered that I used my left hand to paint and asked me why. My answer was simple: “I’m left handed.” What else to say? 🙂

Today is the anniversary of the ADA – Americans with Disabilities Act. I wrote an article last year to commemorate the 30th ADA anniversary. Last year’s anniversary happened during the pandemic that still continues now.
