Another year is coming to an end. I provided consulting services, training sessions, workshops to organizations to help them make their products, services, events more user-friendly and accessible.

Diversity and inclusion has been a hot topic lately. Issues experienced by women and minority groups are often discussed at events and in media which is great. However, the largest minority is sadly rarely or never mentioned – it’s people with disabilities. They represent 1.3 BILLION people worldwide with $1 TRILLION of disposable income.

When hearing words “disability” and “accessibility”, the first thing that comes up in many people’s minds is a wheelchair or someone sitting in one. Many accessibility resources use a wheelchair icon as a symbol to represent accessibility.
