I have been giving presentations around the USA for a decade. This year was my first time presenting outside of the country. I was so excited when I was invited to speak at AngularConnect in London earlier this month. While I have been to some countries in Europe in the past and I’m originally from Europe myself, I have never been to London or U.K. Even if I had already visited London in past, it was still a very special place for me to give a presentation.

Many of us have been using emailing, texting, instant messaging, video chats, and so on – they are the modern 21st century tools that have been around for a long time. Yet we are still stuck in the 20th century with many companies requiring us to make voice phone calls for verification.

I had no deaf role models when growing up, so Wonder Woman was among some role models – real and fictional, living and dead – that I looked up to. There are other female super heroines like Super Girl, Catwoman, and others, but for some reasons Wonder Woman unconsciously has had such a powerful hold on me and has been my favorite female superhero.
