No one expected that 2020 would start with a tiny yet very mighty bug that would cause the pandemic and put the whole world on halt for a long time. Many businesses and schools got closed or switched to virtual work or learning. Everyone was asked to stay home except for essential workers. International travel got suspended and country borders closed. Hospitals got filled with patients infected with COVID-19.

Many of you may have heard the news this year about how a blind person sued Domino’s Pizza who then tried to ask the SCOTUS to excuse them from providing web accessibility. Santa is definitely not pleased and has put this company on his naughty list.
Today is 27th anniversary of ADA – Americans with Disabilities Act. On the photo above is me giving a presentation last year about accessibility at a local event that happened to be on the anniversary of ADA. The slide on the photo says: “Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.” It’s Plato’s quote and my favorite.
